About the Program

Hita i Mana'adahi i Hanom: Prugråman Hånom is a pilot program designed for second through fifth graders at Maga’lahen Hurao CHamoru Charter School.

Through hands-on activities, place-based learning, and indigenous approaches to science, students learn the importance of clean water, how to test it, and their sacred responsibility to protect Guåhan’s precious water sources.

“This program fosters a deeper understanding of environmental justice by connecting students to their ancestral role as caretakers of our waters. By equipping our youth with water testing skills and indigenous knowled, we empower them to advocate for clean water and a thriving future for our islands.”
